About Kick It Up Quilting
Design It, See It, Quilt it!
I’ve been in love with quilting and creating since childhood, what started with sewing clothes for myself quickly grew into a passion for making quilts, bags and purses.
Outside of the studio, I had a long and fulfilling career working with computers, solving problems, managing people, and diving deep into technology. But no matter how busy life got, quilting always had my heart.

Now retired, I finally get to blend my two worlds: creativity and technology. I use software and my table, along with other systems, to bring your quilts to life, offering both digital precision and freehand creations.
Prepare your quilt backing:
It's essential to ensure the backing fabric extends past the quilt top by 4 inches on all sides or 8 inches longer and wider than the quilt top. This extra fabric allows for proper handling during quilting and helps any potential shifting or misalignment. By following these guidelines, you'll achieve a professional finish for your quilt.

Example:

Quilt Top: Quilt Backing = Quilt Top + 8"
Width: 70 Width: 78
Length: 80 Length: 88
Binding: width*2 + length*2 + 10" = linear plus 10 inches
(70*2) + (80*2) + 10 = 310 inches of binding
